Privacy Policy
Last updated October 26, 2026
We keep data collection limited. This policy explains what we process when you browse the site or use the API, why we process it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
UnBoringSpot ("we", "us", or "our") operates this website and the UnBoringSpot inference API. For privacy questions, contact hello@unboringspot.com.
2. Information we collect
We aim to collect as little as possible. Depending on how you use the service, this may include:
- API content. Prompts, files, images, and other content you send to the API, together with the generated response, are processed to provide the service.
- Technical data. IP address, request timestamps, endpoint, status codes, latency, model name, token counts, and user agent. We use this to operate the service, prevent abuse, and diagnose reliability issues.
- Contact information. If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
- Account and API keys. The API is free and open for production until Dec 1, 2026 and does not require an account. After that date, we will process account details and API key metadata so we can authenticate requests and enforce limits.
You can use the public site, documentation, and API without an account while it remains free and open.
3. How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve the API and playground.
- Enforce rate limits and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Monitor performance, debug failures, and maintain security.
- Respond to support and privacy requests.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your API content for advertising, and we do not use it to train models unless we clearly tell you otherwise and have a lawful basis to do so.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand site usage, such as pages viewed and session behavior. These tools set cookies and similar browser storage. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site ad tracking. We may also use strictly necessary browser storage to keep the interface working, such as remembering a local preference. Read the Cookie Policy for details.
If we introduce additional non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.
5. Sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us host, secure, email, measure usage (including Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity), and operate the service, and only as needed to provide it. These providers are expected to protect data and use it only for the services they provide to us. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a corporate transaction.
6. Retention
We retain API content and technical data only for as long as needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and operational need. Do not send sensitive personal data, regulated data, or confidential information you are not authorized to process.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring designed to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, or to request a portable copy. To exercise a right, email hello@unboringspot.com. We may need to verify your request before responding.
9. International transfers
We may process data in countries other than the one where you live. When required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
10. Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated through the site or by other appropriate means.
12. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, email hello@unboringspot.com.
